Happy St Patrick’s Day to all!!!!
I for one am not Irish but I am sticking to tradition and have adorned myself with green. ABM and I painted our nails green and then painted little shamrocks on each and every one. My dress has green mixed in and my sweater is in the green/yellow family and my coat is an army green wool trench.
- for me this is just enough.
…ABM took it a few steps further and decided to go with a green festive headband, green eye shadow, and her camo shoes (they don’t match her outfit but they were green she said so it is “OK”)
{I forgot to take a photo of ABM
…I know this is a shock to some, even myself. It wont happen again!}
………………………………………………………..
As I rolled into work I gave my oh so favorite receptionist a little bitty love pinch (She is wearing red and navy blue?!?!) ….then I had to explain what the pinch was for…hahah (this is why I love my receptionist from Bugalooosa Louisiana & the fact that she surprises me with chocolates on my chair in the mornings
!! She is pretty much ahhhhhmazing)
Shannon (longtime friend and admin asst) came in covered in green beads, a kelly green shirt and wearing a tackier headband than the one ABM chose this morning
This was 100% expected…completely Irish and she is proud of it! She is your typical loud, blonde w/ fair skin, boisterous Irish woman. This is what we love about her though she is banned from coming through my office door until I have had at least one cup of coffee!!
corned beef and cabbage for lunch!!! This is my favorite thing about this holiday!!!! YUMMMMMM. Can anything get better than this!
….so now I find myself sitting at my desk completely full and tired. I want to go hide somewhere and curl up and take a nice little nap. Though I know this is out of the question

But…. the good thing is the day is almost over!! This brings me closer to one of my most favorite times….SOCCER PRACTICE with my little ladies!!! An hour of escape from my chaotic life. I always say my girls are like free therapy

Although tonight I will be cutting soccer practice a little short in order to make it to a photography event put on by the Young Contemporaries at the Contemporary Arts Center of Virginia.
If you have not heard about it…. now you have!
Everyone always complains how there is never anything new in VB. It is always the same damn thing.
……Well quit your bitchin’ and do something about it. Get off the couch, out of the bars (don’t worry there will be cheap drinks there), out of the gutters and head to the CACV tonight to witness an epic event put on by amazing people. Here is your one chance to see, hear, meet the Legendary (yes, this deserves a capitalization) street photog Ricky Powell.
