Almost every morning I go to Starbucks and I always notice there is a guy maybe late 20s/early 30s who has a group of boys around middle school age surrounding him. I have always assumed they are some sort of before school study group because they are more often than not listening intently to what this guy is saying. Just watching the effect this guy has on them, they look up to him you can most definitely see that in their eyes. So it always leaves me wondering what there discussions are all about. They don’t have books or papers in front of them…so school work and tutoring is out of the question…what is it?? Well, this morning I heard the guy ask one of the boys if he had faith. Although I did not hear the boys answer, the question was followed by rhetorical ones…
- Do you have faith in that chair you are sitting in?
- When you go to sit will it hold you up?
- How do you know it will do what it is meant to do?
….because you can see it, you can see that the chair is there and that it is sturdy, and that it has the strength to keep you up. That is what the chair is designed to do…its purpose. You can put your faith in that because we see it in front of us.
This conversation had me thinking. It IS hard to believe in something you cannot see as opposed to something you have that is tangible in front of you. You do not know 100% that it is really there and will be there when you need it the most. But that is where the faith part comes in. This is when you need to look around you and notice all the little things |God| left for us to know he is there. He knows we are human and in that we have doubt and difficulty believing in what we can not see. So he has given us little love notes to remind us he is there for us. If you look hard enough you will see what I am talking about. There is something there in everything if you just open up your mind and hold tight to your faith.
…it’s always around you, you just have to be willing to see it.
{It’s fabulous, the things you can see once you truly open your eyes}
{love loudly.}

I love that!! This is so true…we have to keep our hearts and eyes open to see the little reminders God gives us in how absolutely amazing His love is for us and how intricate he designed our world.
