I absolutely love the enlightening moments that leave you feeling like you just discovered the most amazing thing.  Then you realize you already knew it and just needed to remember it again.

I met up with some ladies last night for a girls night to grab some dinner and a glass of wine (yes I know, this is rare for me).  The group dynamic was unusual with each person knowing maybe 1 or 2 people at the table which ended up being a breath of fresh air.  The conversations were endless and new friends were made so I could not be happier.  Afterwards it left me thinking that I absolutely and undoubtedly have a fabulous group of women that I have chosen to surround myself with.  New and old friends alike I would not have it any other way.  Of course not all of my girlfriends were there last night so this speaks to those also who were not….You ladies are amazing each in your own ways!  Everyone brings a different personality and outlook into my life and I am just so thankful for them. 

I think we go through life and we dont tell people how much we appreciate them enough.  We just assume that they know this already.  Sometimes though I think it is necessary just to let someone know what they mean to us to avoid taking them for granted in our life.  Almost like a reminder to ourself that these people also choose to be in our life when they do not have too. 

It really amazes me when I look back on my life and see where I was then and where I am now.  Usually I am where I thought I would never be if that makes sense.  It seems to always get better with age.  Of course there are moments I can look back on and it saddens me knowing that certain people are not in my life anymore or somethings did not work out how I had thought or planned them too.  But with all the decisions I have made in my life and the things that did not go exactly how I planned, they have led me to where I am now.  All of this makes me who I am today.  If my friends are any sort of testament to the person I am…then all I can tell myself is I am proud of who I have become as a woman. 

People view and assess a persons character based on the decisions they make and how they treat others and who they surround themselves with.  Based on this character assessment it is then that they decide whether they would like to get to know someone.  I am happy to think I have done just right in my life just by looking at my friends.
