Love Month

It’s February!!

This seems to be the month that makes most men cringe and most women swoon.  This month alone causes more stress, heartache, and pressure than any other.  Unfortunately most of that falls into the guys territory.  Ladies…I’m sorry but we tend to take this ‘sacred’ womens holiday a bit overboard.  So in advance gentlemen I apologize for our behavior.  We can’t control it…it just happens.  We ladies have taken this one holiday from cute little doiley hearts that say Be Mine to dinner and a movie to lets talk about the future.  You might as well mark it down as one of life’s unexplainable mysteries.

With that being said I am just going to throw it out there…

I LOVE F E B R U A R Y

I love everything about it.  The feeling in the air, the romance lofting from couple to couple, sweet notions being passed about, pinks and reds everywhere you turn, and ‘s…so many ‘s!!  It is overwhelming for the anti-romantics yet becomes complete heaven for girls like me who love anything and everything about happy romantic love.

…BUT

Here is the thing ladies, we dont need a holiday to tell us or show us how much our sweet man loves us.  If thats the case then maybe you should rethink your thoughts or relationship for that matter.

Its not one big thing on one big day that determines his love for you..it’s all the little things that he does.  Its the goodnights and goodmornings, the kisses on the forehead just because, the notes he leaves behind for you to find, and the coffee he makes for you in the morning.  These little gestures, that is where you will find his love.  It is what he does when he does not have to do anything at all.  So give your man a break this holiday and tell him thank you for the little things.  Appreciate him and tell him his worth.

{oh and by the way…}

{I love that I catch myself smiling in morning traffic just from the thought of you.}

{love loudly.}

About brandylpeterson

a million things make me who I am but just a few of them touch my core. 1. First and foremost, I am a mother to the most beautiful little girl who amazes me and tests me daily. I also coach her soccer team and love all of my little girls. 2. I Love hard and break even harder...but getting into my heart for that Love is the tricky part. 3. I reserve my full self for those who show they are worth the effort. 4. I believe everything happens for a reason and if it is meant to be then it will be. 5. I love the word kismet.

    I’m very glad to see you back in action. Hadn’t seen anything new from you in quite a while. After reading this post I’m gonna assume that someone is in love, or something like that. I hope so. I also hope lot’s of both boys and girls (gentlemen and ladies) read this and think about it. There’s certainly nothing more powerful in this world than love, both good and bad. People just need to realize and remember that many of the things we associate with love have nothing to do with it. I truly believe in the little things. Another pretty awesome post Ms. Peterson. You really do have a talent.

    P.S. Ignore my Gravatar. I don’t really believe that.

    • Well thank you! It has been a busy month and has certainly gone by with in a blink of an eye! So needless to say time has gotten away from me!! It certainly is the little gestures that show true feelings :)

      p.s. duely noted…gravatar will be ignored ;)
